This golf game application is very well designed and accurate to the real game - landscapes, conditions (wind, slope, break, etc), players and emotions; however the highly enhanced clubs are not accurate for real club distances! I play with 5* Vixen and Prickle clubs and they play very close to my real clubs - 280 yard drives, 200 yard 4 iron, etc. The players with the Meteor drivers and irons are not playing real game - 400+ drives and 200+ yard 9 iron shots! These players should have a different league to play each other, and not mix with those of us that like playing realistic rounds. I also think the putter is no longer realistic when the yellow read line gets longer than 3 yards. It should take some skill to make a 10 foot putt - it’s not a gimmie…
I just played a match with a guy using a meteor driver that went 500 yards!!!! Please put these folks into another league level….
We work hard for the better clubs. Lots of crafting and mostly luck of the draw. My driver is an orange prickle and flys over 400 easily. I also have shorter drivers to use on certain courses and holes during clan rounds. Just need to keep grinding and you will get there. I've been in this game for over 3 years now.
Hi.
Thank you for your reply. Interesting to hear your take on the crafting issue, especially the "random" crafting of meteor clubs.
I too have played a lot and work hard to get better clubs, components etc to make me more competitive. So far i've managed to "craft one 6 star pickle drivere, the rest of my clubs being 5 stars. So i only can manage to drive the ball 330 ish yards on a good day. So i still struggle to reach the fairways on many of the longer holes, no 400 yard drives for me yet im afraid.
My frustration lies in the so called "random" crafting of the meteor club. Everything else you acquire is earned by progressing and playing well in the game , winning rewards and using them to "buy/get" better components and clubs. Yet the most desireable clubs, the meteors, are so called randomly gifted to you. Somehow goes against how the rest of the game is structured. Unless you add any weight to the theory that in app purchases lead to better luck with your crafting. Try playing match games on tour 3 and above to see the gold clubs on show there, often regardless of star rating, but often wearing a lot of in app purchases!!!!
I have tried crafting as you suggest but only seem to get 4 star clubs so now i very rarely bother.
Yes i still play most days and i do enjoy the game but in my opinion and that of several other players its flawed.
But yes like my friend GM Nash and now you suggest i will take my two and a half years of playing and just keep grinding on.
